Optimize Windows Performance

Refuse grouping similar taskbar.
Although Windows has provided such function to lessen the number of open windows, it is inconvenient to open many windows of same kind at a time. For example, when you are using certain communication software, if there are more than two friends chatting with you, it is rather fussy to do that. Because every time when you want to switch, you have to click the group and choose the friend, what is worse, the displaying icons are the same. If there are too many friends chatting at the same time, you may need to click one by one.

In this regard, you had better just restore the previous state.
Clicking “Start” > “Control Panel” > “Appearance and Themes” > “Taskbar and Start Menu”, in the “Taskbar” tab, cross out “Group similar taskbar buttons”. You can improve computer performance a lot by doing this.

Optimize program running.
Every running program has its own preferential order because all the programs have to take up processors resources. Normally, there are thirty-one preferential ranks in the computer. The kernel of system takes up the highest ranks which can guarantee the stability of system while the ordinary applications are put in the back ranks.

As a matter of fact, you can adjust the preference of your own applications. In the “Windows Task Manager”, click “Process” and choose an application and then right-click it. In the popping up shortcut menu, you can choose the grades in the “Set Priority”. There are six grades: Real-time, High, Above Normal, Normal, Below Normal and Low. You can adjust the application higher or lower as you like.
