Talking with Your Computer
They are supposed to be faster, even if you sit there all day talking to your computer, you may get strange looks from your colleagues! It can be fun too. The most fun, of course, just to see these strange looking at others faces. Some of the errors interpretation of the software can be fun as well. Many are relatively simple and can be simply corrected. Howlers some however are real. For example, I was dictating something the other day and I forgot what I said, but a correction options, but the software bundle was sending a mummy of a seagull. Now, I can promise you, it was something like what I dictated. But it took many scams, and a moderate amount of time to convince dictation software to write the right thing.
And of course, is one of the drawbacks of dictation software. Some are certainly better than other times in the actual dictation, and correct them when they are mistaken. Once you start using one of these programs, they will take you through a short learning process in which software learns how to talk. Do not be fooled by this. The current training program is to use continue for a long time and it a two way process. The program to learn how you speak, and every detail of your vocabulary. You must learn to speak in the program, it is best to understand you.
It’s faster than you write? It’s a good question. It partly depends on how fast you are a typist, and, secondly, how well trained you are, and dictation software. It is a powerful enough computer to get it going, how fast, and I recommend somehow just something to try. But if you’re more hunt and peck typist or have problems with my hands, so it can be a great resource. I can guarantee that. I have arthritis in my hands and typing is very painful, so I trust almost exclusively on my audio input. And yes, this entire article is dictated.
